Open Positions at Naufar Hospital – Qatar
1. Prevention Specialist – Healthcare
Location: Doha, Qatar
Role Purpose:
Design and implement evidence-based substance use prevention programs, conduct outreach, and collaborate with schools, law enforcement, and healthcare institutions to minimize SUD risk factors in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver SUD prevention programs for youth, families, and high-risk groups.
- Conduct community assessments and provide educational workshops.
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, making data-driven improvements.
- Recommend policy improvements and provide referral support for affected individuals.
- Ensure ethical and legal compliance within Qatar’s healthcare framework.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling (Master’s preferred).
- 6 years’ experience (Bachelor) or 4 years’ experience (Master), with at least 1 year in behavioral health or SUD prevention.
- Certification like ICAP-Prevention is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
2. Clinical Psychologist
Location: Doha, Qatar
Role Purpose:
Provide advanced psychological assessment and therapy for patients with addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions using evidence-based interventions in both individual and group settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth psychological and neuropsychological assessments.
- Implement evidence-based treatment plans and provide psychotherapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to diagnostic decisions.
- Supervise junior psychologists and support training initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (Essential).
- 5+ years of experience, including 2 years in addiction or SUD treatment (Mandatory).
- Eligible for licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in Qatar.
- Background in PTSD or personality disorders is highly desirable.
3. Consultant Psychiatrist
Location: Doha, Qatar
Role Purpose:
Provide senior leadership in the assessment and treatment of SUDs and co-occurring mental health disorders while mentoring junior doctors and leading the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT).
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with complex psychiatric and addiction disorders.
- Lead MDT meetings and provide supervision to junior clinical staff.

4. Exercise Physiologist

Overview:
Join Naufar’s multidisciplinary clinical team to assess, design, and implement exercise programs tailored to patients with substance use disorders, chronic pain, and metabolic conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct structured physical assessments and movement screens.
- Develop individualized exercise treatment plans for clinical recovery.
- Guide patients in rebuilding motor skills and quality of life through movement.
- Track sessions via the electronic medical records system (EMR).
Requirements:

Master’s degree in Exercise Science or Kinesiology.
- 3+ years’ experience in clinical/community or wellness programs.
- Licensure as an Exercise Physiologist or Kinesiologist.

5. Medical Assessment Physician
Location: Doha, Qatar
Overview:
Lead the intake and eligibility assessment of patients entering the Naufar care model. This role balances general medical care with psychiatric and addiction-focused diagnostic evaluation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct full medical and mental health assessments to determine care suitability.
- Diagnose and assess risk for detoxification and chronic health management.
- Develop personalized treatment recommendations for inpatient/outpatient care.
- Prescribe medical detoxification when needed, in line with international standards.
Requirements:

Medical degree (MBBS/MBChB/MD) with 5+ years’ experience, preferably in psychiatry, general medicine, or addiction.
- Eligible for GP licensure in Qatar.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred.
6. Expressive Arts Therapist – Clinical
Location: Doha, Qatar
Overview:
Deliver evidence-based Expressive Arts Therapy to individuals and groups using art, music, drama, or movement as therapeutic tools for recovery from trauma, addiction, and co-occurring disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions tailored to age and need.
